The painting is intended to represent “that flying dream” that everyone has at one time or another. In the painting the sun is just starting to rise, awakening the slumbering dreamer…. or maybe the sun is setting, allowing the dream to continue.
The painting is intended to inspire contemplation about dreams, the kind that you have while you sleep and the kind that you have while you are awake.
